Not so Good Afternoon:D

My day started really rubbish today. On my way to work in the driving rain my windscreen wiper suddenly flew off!! I was going about 50 MPH and the wiper blade ended up in the middle of the road. I had to pull over, put on my hazards and dice with death to get the blade back. I also had forgot to take my coat or brolly so i was absolutely piss wet through.
I couldn't fix it so i burst in to tears and had to drive back to OH with very limited view. I then got back to his and he couldn't do anything cos he has a broken foot, so my mum had to drive over and help me fix it!!
We finally got it fixed and i finally got to work at half 10. :mad::mad:

I think I feel better now tho:)

First second gear wouldn’t engage and then that happened. :eek:

The gear stick went back into the hole and worked if I kept pressing down on it so I could get home which was about 10 miles away on country roads.

That car also had a faulty carburettor which meant that if I stopped completely on a journey I couldn’t get the car started again. I can’t remember what I did to get the car started at the beginning of a journey. After that I would only have cars with twin carbs or fuel injection.

Every time I'm at a river where there are swans, there are signs that say "Please do not feed the swans or ducks. They do not require feeding!"

There was no notice and the swans thought they needed feeding, they came up and asked for food. Maybe that’s why they have the notices. A begging swan would probably be quite frightening for a child.

I used to stay with Dial up in case I had to move around and could connect from anywhere with a phone line, but with mobile BB available these days even that reason is obsolete.

That's fair enough, Fenella. Though my mum knows everything I do on the internet and monitors it, there are things I'm not allowed to say or do etc. so it's not so bad, is it? It's not like I've got unrestricted, unmonitored access to all kinds of smutty and rude nonsense. :p Oh, and just coz some people think I do, I don't actually have access to anything smutty on the Meerkats. :p
