View Full Version : Some advice...

I'm doing my GCSE's at the moment, right in the middle of them. And I did a lot of revision before 'half term'. I've got 4 left: Geography tomorrow at 1:30pm; English Paper 2; Science (Chemistry paper) and History next Wednesday.

We have had 3 exams crammed into one day which has been annoying but I've nearly finished which is good. I'm really hoping for good results as I'm starting Post 16 next year (taking English Lit, Government & Politics, History & Sociology).

I just wondered, when my exams finish, on the 11th June, should I get a summer job or should I just enjoy maybe my last summer of freedom.

I really don't know what to do with myself and any advice would be much appreciated. I'm in a crossroads in my life :D

Well, thanks, JB.

It depends how much you want the money, doesn't it?

Indeed it does, but I also want to enjoy myself over the summer. I could look back and think I wasted an opportunity to be out with mates & go down the beach (because I live in a seaside town).

But, maybe I could get a job twice a week - I don't know - Somerfields!

I used to work Monday to Saturday and do a paper round and I earned over £1,500 in under a year, and I bought a really good PC and put the rest in the bank.

I'm not an overly sociable person; and when I left school I was working, I chose to to work over the summer holidays as going out with my mates wasn't really my thing.

However, you've got the rest of your life to go out and work - so you may as well enjoy your time off with your friends.
